Black and Hispanic women with PCOS: research needs your story.
I’m a community partner on a university research study at Stanford that uses the Oura Ring to learn more about women living with PCOS. Women who look like us are too often missing from the research that shapes our care.
The research team will guide you through the study. Join through me, and I’ll be in your corner for everything around it. A free nurse-led course, a monthly live Girl Chat with me, and a sisterhood that gets it, start to finish.

PCOS care is built on research. We deserve to be in it.
For 15+ years as a Labor & Delivery and NICU nurse, I watched Black and brown women get handed answers that were never studied on bodies like theirs. PCOS is no different. When we’re not in the data, we get guesses instead of care.
So when a research team asked me to help reach women in this community, I said yes. I’m not running the study. My role is simple: make sure you hear about it and can decide for yourself.

You may be a fit if you…
- Identify as a Black or Hispanic/Latina woman
- Have been diagnosed with PCOS (you may also hear it called PMOS)
- Want to learn more about your body and how to track your cycle
The research team decides who is eligible and will walk you through everything, including consent, before anything begins.
Three simple steps.
- Say you’re interested using the short form below.
- The research team contacts you with full study details and checks eligibility.
- If you join, they handle everything study-related, including shipping the Oura Ring to participants.
Introducing the Study Companion Circle
The research team is there for the study itself, including Q&A about it. The Circle is a different kind of support: more relaxed, more personal, and all about you as a woman with PCOS. From your first night tracking to your last day in the study, you’ll have a nurse, a plan and a sisterhood in your corner. Free, whether or not you end up eligible for the study.
Your free Track Your PCOS Cycle course
Five nurse-led lessons, so you know exactly what to track and why before the study even starts.
Girl Chat, live with me
A monthly group Q&A. Bring your questions, your strips and your confusing charts. Real talk with a registered nurse who has PCOS too.
The Ovulation GPS™ Collective
A private community of women with PCOS learning side by side. Ask anything, share wins, and never feel like the only one.
| The research team | The Study Companion Circle | |
|---|---|---|
| What it’s for | Running the study: details, eligibility, consent and your Oura Ring | Supporting you as a woman with PCOS while you take part |
| Your questions | Study Q&A with the research team | A relaxed monthly Girl Chat with me about your cycle, tracking and real life |
| Learning | The study’s own guidance | A free nurse-led course on reading your own cycle |
| The feel | Professional and research-focused | Warm, personal and judgment-free. Definitely Love Served Warm. |
Two kinds of support that work together. Study questions, eligibility and consent always go to the research team; the Circle is free education and community, separate from the study itself.
Raise your hand. I’ll walk with you.
Check the first box and I’ll pass your name and email to the research team. Check the second too, and you’re in the Study Companion Circle, free, the whole way. Saying you’re interested doesn’t sign you up for anything.
You’re on the list. 💜
I’ll pass your information to the research team, and they’ll reach out with next steps. Keep an eye on your inbox (and your spam folder).
Prefer to go straight to the research team? Email elonga1@stanford.edu and mention you heard about the study from Love Served Warm. You’re welcome to join the Collective anytime.
Good questions to ask.
Why join through you instead of contacting the team directly?
It’s the same study either way, with the same eligibility and consent. Joining through me adds the Study Companion Circle: the free Track Your PCOS Cycle course, The Ovulation GPS™ Collective and a monthly live Girl Chat with a registered nurse who has PCOS too. It’s free whether or not you end up eligible, so you’re never figuring it out alone.
Who is running the study?
A research team at Stanford runs the study. Love Served Warm is a community partner helping women in this community hear about it. All study questions go to the research team.
Does filling out the form sign me up?
No. It only lets the research team know you’re interested so they can contact you. You decide whether to join after you hear the full details.
Do I have to join your email list?
No. The Circle is optional. Check the second box only if you want it. The research team will still contact you if you checked the first box.
What if I live outside the U.S. or in a state that isn’t included?
You won’t be considered for this research study, but you’re still welcome in the community. Check only the second box on the form to get the free Track Your PCOS Cycle lessons and your community invite.
When does recruitment close?
The research team plans to close recruitment at the end of the year, and spots are limited.
